How competitive am I?
Wednesday, June 9, 2010

I had coffee with my very closest friend Dara (founder of Fit Family) this morning. We've known each other since high school and have stuck with each other through hair styles, jobs, men, and now babies (her two - none of my own - yet). I can honestly say I love her, but man do I want to kick her ass ... in a little friendly competition that is.

She's been trying to kick the pounds she put on during her second pregnancy (not that she really needs to -- she looks amazing rolling out of bed with mascara on her cheek!) and we all know I want to drop a bit of weight for [short term] bikini season and [long term] my wedding. So the gauntlets have been thrown down.

Whichever one of us loses more weight by Agusit 1 (percentage of weight, not number of pounds) will be treated by the other to a night on the town. Sweet.

Is it unfair of me to order pizzas to her adress or send cookie-grams to tell her I support her?

" Before I started working out with Liz, there were mornings when I could hardly get out of bed or even put on my own socks as result of chronic lower back pain and over-all muscle tightness. By focusing on core-strength and basic range-of-motion exercises, we were able overcome these aliments within a few short weeks before moving on to regime..."
